Urgent Care
Accidents and illnesses don't always happen at the most convenient times, and an emergency room is more than you need. Carolinas HealthCare Urgent Care centers are just the prescription for life's little medical emergencies. With 16 Urgent Care centers throughout Mecklenburg, Gaston, Cabarrus and Union counties. Open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Our centers are fully equipped with on-site laboratories, diagnostic imaging and staffed by a team of board certified physicians, nurses and staff.
The services offered include:
- Assistance in selecting a primary care physician
- General adult and pediatric illnesses, including sore throats, ear aches, bronchitis, colds, flu and upset stomachs
- Lacerations and burns
- Physicals for school, sports, camp and work
- Sprains, strains and fracture care
Additional services include occupational medical services:
- Assisting with the rehabilitation of employees at work
- Developing a custom program for the needs of each company
- Performing drug and alcohol screening tests, respiratory capacity exams and hearing function tests
- Providing on-site health fairs, screenings and information
- Providing physical examinations for job applicants
- Urgent care centers are not appropriate for patients with acute chest pain, severe shortness of breath or other acute life-threatening illnesses or injuries. In these situations, please visit the nearest emergency room.
